Jimmy Neutron (character) - Jimmy Neutron (voiced by Debi Derryberry), is a fictional character in the TV series The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius and the movie Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. He lives with his pet robot, Goddard, and his parents, Hugh and Judy Neutron.
Neutron radiation - Neutron radiation consists of free neutrons. Neutrons may be emitted during nuclear fission (either spontaneous or triggered), nuclear fusion, very high energy reactions such as in a Spallation Neutron Source, or from certain other reactions, most famously the (α,n) reaction, for example when a beryllium nucleus absorbs an alpha particle and emits a neutron.
Neutron absorber - Isotopes of certain elements absorb free neutrons creating higher isotopes of the same element. The most prolific neutron absorbers are elements that become stable by absorbing a neutron such as Xe-133, which absorbs a neutron to become Xe-134.
Prompt neutron - In nuclear engineering, a prompt neutron is a neutron immediately emitted by a nuclear fission event, as opposed to a delayed neutron which is emitted by one of the fission products anytime from a few milliseconds to a few minutes later.
Neutron Science - The Spallation Neutron Source, when combined with the High Flux Isotope Reactor will make Oak Ridge the world's foremost center for Neutron Science. Future research will be supported by these facilities and by the Joint Institute for Neutron Sciences.
Neutron Sciences - Oak Ridge National Laboratory - Today at ORNL neutron research is conducted at the Oak Ridge Linear Accelerator and at the High Flux Isotope Reactor. Future research will be supported by the Spallation Neutron Source and by the Joint Institute for Neutron Sciences
