Each page on the website has the Ask4Prayer logo of clouds and a rising sun. Just click on that icon and it will take you back to the home page of the website.
Click on View My Inbox on the left side of your profile. Then click on the blue button at the upper right labeled FRIEND INVITATIONS. Type in their email address and a personalized message. Then click Send Invite. The website will automatically send them an introductory email along with your personalized message. You can track the status of their acceptance/decline of your invitations on this same page of your inbox.
A community is a group of people with some common interest. Often communities are made up of members of the same local congregation, but communities could be any group of people that wants to share prayer requests with each other, for example Cancer Survivors or Colleges. While a local church would be a community, there could be several commuties WITHIN a local church, for example, a youth group community, a singles community, small group study communities, etc. As you create new communities, take careful consideration on the name of your community. If appropriate, include the State & City along with the name of a local church. Chances are that the name of your local church also exists in other cities.
Click on the green SHARE NOW button that is displayed on the home page and various places throughout the website. You can also click on the link SHARE A PRAYER REQUEST that is on the left of the screen when you are viewing your profile. Type in a TITLE and the details of the request into the YOUR REQUEST field. Click on a category that matches your request (optional). The location fields should default to the country, state, city on your profile. You can change these if appropriate. Drop down the list of SECURITY SETTINGS and select your preference. This will define who can view your new prayer request. You can define if you want others to be able to comment on your request. There is an option to browse your computer and attach up to 3 images. Finally, click SUBMIT. Depending upon the SECURITY SETTING that you selected and the notification settings of your friends, family and community members, your prayer request has just been automatically emailed/SMS texted to them.
Click on the title of any prayer request to view the details of that request. Then click on PRAY FOR THIS button. This will add it to your I'M PRAYING FOR list. Check out your Subscription Settings if you want a daily email sent to you for all the requests you have indicated you would pray for.
On your profile, click on the tab labeled My Requests. Then click on the title of your prayer request that you are wanting to update. Next click on the PENCIL icon on the right side of the screen. This will allow you to edit your prayer request. Simply add a comment at the bottom of your request -- any update to the situation. Scroll down and click the SUBMIT button at the bottom. The website will automatically notify everyone praying for that request of your update. You can also click the blue button labeled MARK AS ANSWERED and document how God has answered your prayers. The website will notify everyone praying for you that it was answered. Check out this video for more details.
Click on the tab MY REQUESTS on your profile. Next click on the title of the prayer request title you want to edit. Near the title will be a red X and a pencil icon. Click on the pencil icon and it will bring up the form for editing the prayer request.
Go to the listing of your prayer requests then click on the title of the prayer request you wish to delete. This will bring up a view of the prayer request details. Next to the title you will see a red "X". If you click on that, it will delete the prayer request. ;

My Prayer Journal is a method to keep track of your most important prayer requests. Think of it as 'My Favorites' when it comes to reviewing past prayer requests. When you experience an answer to prayer that really impacts your faith -- it is important to remember that! Including that answered prayer into your Prayer Journal will help you never forget the powerful ways that God has answered your prayers.
Click on the title of your prayer request to view its details. Click ADD TO PRAYER JOURNAL. It is now included in your favorites. To view all of your favorite prayer requests, click MY PRAYER JOURNAL on the left side of your profile.
Prayer Warrior indicates that you are willing to pray for prayer requests that you see on the website. The expectations of being a prayer warrior include a commitment to log onto this website at least weekly to pray for some of the prayer requests posted. Use the link on the Advanced Search to easily review Requests Needing Prayer. Post comments on those requests for example: Post the actual prayer you are praying; Post links to encouraging music videos; Post relevant and encouraging scripture verses. If you have the gift of Intercessory Prayer or Encouragement, allow this website to become your personal ministry to others around the world.

You can control what type of notices that you receive from Ask4Prayer.com. Follow these steps: While on your profile page, simply click on the link on the left side for NOTIFICATION SETTINGS. Uncheck the types of notices you do not want. Remember to scroll to the bottom and click CHANGE. You may be receiving notices due to a subscription that you created. If so, simply click on MY SUBSCRIPTIONS on the left side of your profile to delete those.
While on your profile page, simply click on the link on the left side for NOTIFICATION SETTINGS. Check the box for the types of notices you want and uncheck the box for the types of notices that you do not want. Lastly, remember to scroll to the bottom and click CHANGE.
Use the Advanced Search feature on the main home page. A wide variety of search criteria are available: county, state, city, text, requestor, community, category, Answered vs. Unanswered, and more. You can mix and match these various search options to narrow the results to exactly what you are interested in seeing. After you have clicked SEARCH NOW, and you see the results of your search, click SUBSCRIBE TO THIS SEARCH in the uppper left corner. Type in a NAME. Check the boxes to define if you want this custom subscription sent to your via email or SMS text. Then click the SUBSCRIBE button.
When you are viewing your profile, click on the link "My Subscriptions" that is on the left side of the screen. Then click EDIT YOUR STANDARD SUBSCRIPTIONS link that is at the upper right. Check the box for DAILY PRAYING FOR LIST (EMAIL) and finally click SAVE SETTINGS. You will now begin to receive a daily listing of all the requests you have agreed to pray for. This will be an easy reminder for you!

Whenever you see someone you know (post a request or in your community, etc) click on their photo to go to their profile. Once you are looking at their profile, click the link ADD AS FRIEND that is below their profile photo. This will invite them to become your friend. They will have to accept your invitation before the friendship is established. To search for friends, start on your profile homepage. Scroll down the left side to the section labeled FRIENDS. Click on the link labeled FIND NEW FRIENDS or SEARCH FOR FRIENDS. Then click on SEARCH SITE FOR FRIENDS. You can enter in their name or email address or country, state, city, etc. You have a variety of search criteria to choose from. After you have entered the desired criteria, click FIND. This will list the people on the website that matched the search criteria you just entered. Be careful to CLEAR LOCATION FIELDS if the person you are looking for does not live in the same Country, State or City as you.
